Healing doesn’t always feel good. In fact, it can feel like total shit. Old feelings, painful experiences, long-held beliefs- they don’t just go away with insight, positive thinking, or sheer will. Deep healing comes when you are at a point where you can finally make the space to feel what you couldn’t feel long ago, or what you buried in order to survive. The difference is now, you can see yourself and bring compassion to your long-held, silent suffering. You can hold yourself with kindness. You no longer have to live that old story or believe those old beliefs. That was then, this is now- and you can notice the difference while letting the old hurts move on through. Feeling your pain is about becoming whole. Let the waves move through. You won’t be stuck. Waves of sadness, grief, sorrow means you ARE healing. It gets better.
