Inner child work is a real thing. It involves discovering parts of us that we had to shut down, cut off from, to survive emotionally at a time when maybe there was too much going on and not enough support. The invitation is to return to that cut-off part, find it, and rescue it. Let it know- it is safe for it to be itself. It can be hard work, and scary, but then again, not ever healing this part of you can lead to missing out on really good things in life. Things that you deserve. Like Happiness. And being yourself. Joy. Your true nature.
